This bar is inspired by the famous and treacherous pirates and privateers of the 1700's...Blackbeard, Francis Spriggs, Bartholomew Roberts, Richard Worley, Howell Davis, and Black Sam to name a few. Ahoy! A collection of buccaneers and swashbucklers terrorizing the West Indies for their chance at golds, riches, plunder, spoils, and prizes via pillaging and looting. The Jolly Roger symbol - sometimes refered to as "Joli Rouge" ("Pretty Red"), ie., the skull and crossbones emblem - symbolizes mayhem, violence, death, memento mori, and your general badassery and attitude. The pirate's life, booty, and the exotic places plundered and hijacked serve as the inspiration for this bar - a romanticization or glorification of these behaviors, if you will. The ultimate "bad-boy" bar - all spice and vice - from the Black Label Collection...
Created with fine single malt Scotch whiskey (reserved for the Captian) and a few shots of dark rum (for the quartermaster)...this bar is "spirited" in more ways than one. Ultra-boozy just for fun. Formulated with organic *Death Wish* brand coffee beans, and an abundance of organic, raw, and unrefined cocoa and shea butters, for a supremely creamy and cushioning cleanse for the most rugged and grimy among you. Includes organic and unrefined extra virgin olive and coconut oils to assist with softening that which might be a bit rough and dirty around the edges, and oats for a gentle scrub-down...
The eclectic collection of exotic ingredients found in this bar tell a tale of adventure and a life void of rules...cognac absolute, tobacco absolute and 100% pure and aged cade and choya ral essential oils add boozy, smoky, and leathery notes - calling to mind acts of debauchery and shameless indulgence. A hint of spice from 100% pure cinnamon bark and clove essential oils along with fine woodsy accords from Indian sandalwood and cedarwood evoke well-travelled wooden ships, perhaps like that of Blackbeard's famous "Queen Anne's Revenge," or Captain William Kidd’s "Adventure Galley." Sweet and floral notes of vetiver, ylang ylang, cocoa absolute, and jasmine floral wax (India: Jasminum Sambac) nostalgically add a delicate and feminine quality - an ode to the scent of a women. Women, afterall, were rarely allowed on ship due to various supersititions and beliefs in them bringing bad luck...
