Created as a celebration of the overlooked plants growing close to home, this artisan soap begins with extra virgin olive oil slowly infused with fleabane, strawberry leaf, creeping Charlie, and white clover. These backyard botanicals give the bar its sense of place — earthy, familiar, and intentionally connected to the quiet abundance of the garden. The same herbal infusion is also featured in The Backyard Botanica Silken Body Balm, making the two a natural pairing within the collection.
Crafted in a nourishing base of extra virgin olive oil, unrefined coconut oil, sunflower seed oil, raw shea butter, mango butter, and castor oil, this cold process soap creates a creamy, balanced lather that cleanses gently while supporting the skin’s natural moisture barrier. Organic coconut and white kaolin clay further enrich the bar, while tamanu oil, frankincense-and-myrrh-infused jojoba oil, and additional shea butter lend an especially sumptuous finish.
Swirls of powdered lavender buds, green French clay, spirulina, chlorella, spinach powder, and rhubarb root lend natural contrast, texture, and botanical character throughout the bar. A textured crown of lavender buds, chamomile, marigold petals, and rose petals completes the composition, making each hand-cut bar distinctly individual.
Scented exclusively with 100% pure essential oils, lavender and sweet orange form the heart of this bar. Clary sage, ylang ylang, and a touch of clove are used with restraint — not to compete, but to deepen and cradle the floral, herbaceous, citrus-bright character of the botanical blend itself.
Of all the essential oil blends I have created here at Apothecary Addict, this one holds a particularly special place in my heart. Exquisitely floral, beautifully balanced, softly herbal, and wonderfully lingering, it is quite possibly one of my most beloved aromatic creations to date. There is something so effortlessly harmonious and unmistakably beautiful about this fragrance that I have come to think of it as something of an unofficial signature scent of Apothecary Addict — a little expression of everything I adore about the art of botanical perfumery.
